Applicants Must Comply With
The Following Qualifications For Job Placement Assistance
A. Applicant must be at least 21years old.
B. Applicant must currently have and had a
valid driver's license for a period of 1 year prior to training start
date. Applicants that are not in
possession of a Tennessee Driver's License must obtain one.

C. Applicant must not have any outstanding
fines or reinstatement fees of any kind due in any state or country. Many times a fee can be paid and a CDL can be obtained. Contact your
local driver's license or DMV office for details about this. This office
will be able to tell you if any state has blocked your license status
and give you a number to call if any such block has been placed.
D. Applicant must pass DOT physical.
Applicant must have 20/40 vision or better in both eyes.
Correctives lenses or glasses are allowed. Uncontrolled high blood
pressure, high blood sugar levels or epilepsy can cause an applicant to
fail the DOT physical.
Note: DOT physicals must be completed on the
proper form and can be done by any qualified doctor. Commercial Carrier
Services Inc. can make an appointment for the applicant upon request.
E. Applicants may not have any serious or
multiple moving traffic violations on their driving record.
Serious violations are:
Speeding
at 15mph over the limit.
Reckless
Driving.
Improper
Driving involving lane changing , following to closely or erratic
behavior.
Being
involved in a moving violation related to a fatal crash.
F. Applicant may not have any felony
convictions or outstanding warrants against them.
G. No felony
convictions. Some companies will hire a student if the felony is more
than 10 years old. A Pre-Hire is needed.
H. No DUI or DWI
convictions within the last 5 years.
I. For Job Placement
Assistance, the applicant must be willing to take an over-the-road (Long
Haul) driving job. Applicants can apply for local driving jobs, but need
to understand that the possibilities are limited.
J. Applicant must have good hygiene and bathing habits due to the close
quarters of the training.
Commercial Carrier Services will not be
held responsible for false statements or misrepresentation.
If applicants are questionable a letter of pre-hire from the company of
their choice can be obtained from Commercial Carrier Services, Inc .
before any money is spent or agreements for attendance are made.
